Rant (for the adults playing video games)

Ok, so it doesn't matter if we lose, it's nice to compete and it's nice if we win, but in the end it's just a game.

I'm trying to play, it's what I do for fun, I'm a kid I think it's allowed.
You're drunk and you're raging you're mad at your team.
I know the rating on the box says teen,
but you're 30 and mad at the kids you have to play with.

You should probably stop to think about the targeted age group in design,
and maybe find something better to do with your time.
Shouldn't you have a job and other commitments?
Be looking out for your kids who should actually be playing?
Is that crying?
I hear in the background?
I think maybe your kid would like you to stop attempting to tank this instance for us.
I mean it's not as if you don't have free time too,
and if you want to play the game just accept that you will positively be playing with people who are not as 'mature' as you.

Advice for those entering high school

#1   Show up to class.

#2   Be nice. Mostly if you’re nice to people, they’re nice to you.

#3   Hold your head high. Having a big ego always helps. You can take harder hits and you’ll stay happy.

#4   Stay happy.

#5   Don’t rely on teachers. They can provide you with some things you need to know, but the more you do on your own, the more you’ll actually  learn.

#6   Ignore the people that don’t like you. Just nod, and smile, and pretend like you’re listening.

#7   When people smile at you it makes you feel nice, so smile all the time. Some people will probably find you odd but that’s okay, because you have that big ego. (Refer to #3)

#8   Always being honest makes people like you more, teachers and students, just don’t talk too much.

#9   Do your homework. You can get by easily without it, but you gain discipline if you do it.

#10   Show up on time to avoid the attention and or/detentions, unless you like them of course (Refer to #4)

Sci-Fi Character

First Name: Allison
Last Name (Barcode): 531428

September 20th, 3099
I talked to him today. He is not like us, but I want him to be my mate.

The number of ‘humans’ left is slowly fading as they begin to mate with us avsed. They are not taking it well, it is easy to tell with them, the full-bloods. They have no control over their bodies at times. Their faces turn a ruddy colour, they excrete body fluid from their pores. It is not a problem, but it must get annoying for them.

He is like that, the human I want, Jacob. I enjoy his company, we are close. But he does not share my views, he does not want an avsed, he does not want the humans to die out. I do not know why, we are mostly half-breeds now, or full avseds, and there is a bright future ahead for us.

I will keep waiting. I will see if he changes his mind.

The millennium is nearing. I sometimes wonder how much difference a millennium can make to a population.
What was it like in the year 3 000? What is it going to be like in 5 000? I know we have made progress, humans, avsed alike. They created us, they became us.

I have still had no luck with Jacob. It has been a little over 3 months now. Then again we have been acquainted for almost 41 years, we have at least another 12 before our ripe age for marriage and gestation.
The most I can afford to wait will be 5, after which I must leave my education behind, and leave this district behind, to look for a job.

Jacob dislikes school, I cannot for the life of me see why. It is time spent together, and "doctrina est a perpetua investigatione."  -learning is a never-ending quest, as is the motto for our school. We all enjoy school, the avseds. The humans feel like they could be doing something better with their time. That is why a lot of them drop out at the age of 30, the earliest legal age. They then go on to waste the remainder of their lives, piloting the vacation ships or building more avsed. Jobs that don’t pay much, but have to be done by someone.

The new year has arrived! Not much has changed, as could be expected.
Life goes on as it did yesterday, with a new number for the new year.

Nonsense Poem

Little Frapple's Lesson

There once was a frapple,
A frapple there was.
A brange little frapple,
That frapple it was.

It flighted its konder,
When flighting its life,
And looked beyond yonder,
A strallable trife.

Fell from its drome,
And rolled to a stop.
As it dandled its journey,
A blingle de blop.

The blingle de blop,
Silfered up to the bole.
Hopped on as a Dinker
Blipped into a hole.

"A scroodle!" said the dinker,
A greeting of sort.
As it fell, and it fell,
To the bottom of shmort.

Frapple watched dinkle,
As it squished at the bottom.
And it learned not to follow,
For the dinkle, it crottomed.
