Writer's craft is a great class, I've learned things in this class I'm sure I will use later in life.
From this course I've also picked up some tips on sentence structure, how to phrase things to best keep an audiences or readers attention. Things like using short sentences to keep the message clear, and then blending them with long sentences to add effect are useful in writing in all different genres, and will come in handy no matter what I am writing.
The only thing I didn't like at first was having to edit my own work, because it was hard to look at my own work and change things, but it got easier as I learned different ways of doing it - reading my own work aloud to myself, or getting a friend to help edit it with me. I'm glad I've (hopefully) become a slightly better editor through this class.
I'm glad I took this course, and if I had the chance to would do it
again. It's the class I had the most fun in over this semester because
of all the different styles and genres of writing we covered. Doing a
lot of independent work was also a lot of fun, and I loved writing every day, and keeping this blog updated.
