Forgiveness

"Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them so much." -Oscar Wilde

I do believe in forgiving and forgetting. While some things may not be entirely erased, they can be put out of your mind if they are not recurring incidents which harm you in any way. I cannot help forgiving people. Sometimes it takes a bit longer, but generally I will forgive almost anything. While being able to forgive easily can be a good quality at times, it may not always be as wonderful as it sounds. Some things cannot be forgiven too many times, or they become bad habits without repercussion.

For example, when training a puppy, if you always forgive him immediately after he's done something wrong, he would never learn that this behaviour was bad, and would not change.  However, with time, forgiveness is of course necessary to maintain your relationship with your pet.

With time, anything, no matter how bad, can be forgiven.

  1. My brother has a puppy and every time she pees on the carpet, he yells at her and then cuddles her afterwards. Well she still pees on the carpet.
