Fading Away
Lucifer smiled at the gangly man
Lucifer smiled at the gangly man
Red hair, freckles, a non-existent tan.
The man raises his fists and glares on with hate
But he cannot do much to injure in his state.
But he cannot do much to injure in his state.
Though he tries, yes he does, as he’s fading away
The devil keeps pulling down, making him stay.
He kicks, in a final effort to break loose
Flails and then softens as they tighten the noose

it is definitely and intriguing poem you have written. i like the symbolism of execution you have made in the final lines.
